- Deuteronomy 29:9- 31:30
- Isaiah 61:1-63:9
- Matthew 28:16-20
When God’s favor is present, the impossible is possible and people have the opportunity to live as they were created. The perspective that is required to carry out our destiny is clearly focused. When Yeshua came to earth, the words of the prophet Isaiah (Chapter 61) were fulfilled in Him. That great effectual door had finally opened after all those years.
Today we are living examples of the continuation of God’s favor over all the earth. His favor did not stop after Yeshua rose from the grave and was seated at the right hand of the Father. That favor continues down through the generations into the hearts and lives of people today who will choose to serve Him. The release of God’s favor in our lives is solely dependent upon our obedience to His Word.
“Therefore, obey the terms of this covenant so that you will prosper in everything you do. All of you—tribal leaders, elders, officers, all the men of Israel—are standing today in the presence of the Lord your God. Your little ones and your wives are with you, as well as the foreigners living among you who chop your wood and carry your water. You are standing here today to enter into the covenant of the Lord your God. The Lord is making this covenant, including the curses. By entering into the covenant today, He will establish you as His people and confirm that He is your God, just as He promised you and as He swore to your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.” - Deuteronomy 29:9-13
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; to grant to those who mourn in Zion to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified." - Isaiah 61:1-3
Questions for Reflection:
▪ Am I doubting what God has told me in His word?
▪ Do I believe that Yeshua Ha Meshiack is the same yesterday, today, and forever?
▪ Am I willing to obey the terms of God’s covenant with me?
▪ Do I recognize God’s favor in my life?
